We are looking for amazing volunteers
to help us further our mission. There are many ways to get involved including volunteering at events or joining a committee to help plan amazing inclusive events throughout the year!
Committees meet once a month and our crucial for
growing in our community.
Important Note
Please note that volunteer needs vary, and that committee volunteers are typically added at the start of the board fiscal year (January).
Our Volunteer Opportunities:
Day of Events Volunteer
Provide hands-on support at our
events! Help with set-up,
greeting guests, and
running activities.
Youth & Family Committee:
Participate in monthly meetings to plan and organize events and programs specifically focused on youth and families.
Social Committee:
Participate in monthly meetings to plan fun and inclusive monthly events for the LGBTQIA+ community! Brainstorm ideas, organize activities like Urban Walk and Game Nights, and help us connect and celebrate.
Education & Outreach Committee:
Participate in monthly meetings to develop and deliver programs and resources for the LGBTQIA+ community. Plan workshops, create educational materials, and manage initiatives like our gender closet and binder program.
Fundraising Committee:
Participate in monthly meetings to ensure the financial sustainability and growth of Wake Forest Pride in support of its mission to serve the LGBTQIA+ community. Develop, implement, and oversee fundraising strategies and initiatives that cultivate donor relationships, secure diverse funding sources, and promote community investment in the organization’s programs and goals.
Pride Fest Committee:
Participate in monthly meetings to plan, organize, and execute Wake Forest Pride’s annual Pride Fest.
